For those too young to have experienced it first hand, or too partied out to remember with clarity, Jean-Marc Cerrone was one of the most influential disco producers in Europe during the heady ’70s, possibly eclipsed only by Giorgio Moroder, with his impact still felt today by the latest generation of dance producers. Jamie Lewis continues his remix/production relationship with the Gallic genius that now dates back half a decade and just as many remixes – ‘Hooked On You’, ‘Not Too Shabby’, ‘You Are The One’, ‘Music Of Life’ – and now this quality dancer that first appeared in the late-’70s. With a set of mid-tempo house mixes oozing subtle qualities and a synth riff that could easily be the bastard offspring of ‘The Music Sounds Better With You’, this soul-tech peppered groove layered with atmospheric electro-tinged keys gives the track a timeless charm all too missing in today’s house productions.
