Parisian Cesar Merveille wears his diverse set of influences proudly across this innovative release realising an almost spiritual quality in the process. The combination of hypnotic electronics gives it a warm sense of melody while the taught bass and crisp drums supply the complimenting dancefloor edge. At a shade over ten minutes long this amazingly never feels tired, despite the tonal repetition, which only goes to highlight the innate strength of the music’s ambient/ minimalist textures. Next, ‘Kraftone’ is an altogether punchier affair with fizzy basslines and synths alongside strident beats and energy ending another impressive production via Cadenza.
