A beautifully crafted production sees ‘French Connection’ play on tastefully Jazzy inspired sounds hung over low-slung House beats. The atmosphere is only heightened by the taught bass and delicate chords appearing alongside the random speech that lends it all an intriguing air. The Club Mix picks up the pace while almost subduing the more musical aspects in favour of punchy claps and tension. The excellent Play It Again Edit sees Damier take control with improvised guitar combining with more insistent percussion and a devastatingly good Wild Pitch stab. The Rex Club Paris version ends with a funkier arrangement and a fresh set of echoed vocals completing this striking release from Popcorn.
