Now this is a pleasant surprise. A production which has been inspired by two 1980’s gems: Raze ‘Break For Love’ and Oran Juice Jones ‘The Rain’ and ends up sounding even more contemporary than the raft of 90’s imitations on offer. The bassline has, of course, has been recreated from the former, the vocal hook via the later. All of which neatly combines over punchy drums and fizzy electronics sounding suitably inviting and temptingly funky. ‘Here Comes The B’ on the flip then gets down and weird with sizzling effects shooting across pounding beats and further eighties sensibilities to again produce explosive results.
