These latest collection of four tracks from Cormac define themselves impressively by crossing the boundaries of Techno and House while appealing very much too either description. ‘Tone Alone’ opens with soulful sounding vocals offset by gritty electronics and creates the sort of intriguing atmosphere you will find yourself lost in. The excellent, ‘Who Funk?’ follows with unrelenting, sleazy bass, funky cowbell plus a very original arrangement of sounds, as the possibility of light relief proceeds from the deeper vocals of, ‘Is This Love?’ The captivating, ‘Retrace’ ends with a more twisted view comprising of voice, throbbing electro beats and unsettling synths all for good measure.
