Amsterdam duo Ariaan ‘Aad’ Olieroock and Peter Kriek, aka 16 Bit Lolitas, present the second part of their collaborative series, which has already thrust Glowfield to the fore. Anyone who heard last year’s amazing mix album will know that this pair are dynamite and this is another near-perfect example of floor-seducing supercharged house music. ‘Take It Or Leave It’ builds percussive layers over a deep, booming riff peppered with loincloth-rattling foghorn blasts, ultimately reaching a place of advanced euphoria. ‘Magetsu’ is lush, melodic and galloping, possessed of a deep, tugging undertow, nifty organ-sparkle combination and heavenly guitar drop, all washed in subaquatic pads and swelling whale-stiffie chords. Glorious tackle further propelling this truly dynamic duo’s unstoppable mission. Anyone who recalls Holland’s 90s house peaks will spontaneously combust but it’ll destroy any modern floor.
