Danny Tenaglia
DBiza Remixes

In terms of innovation, passion and sheer hard graft Danny Tenaglia is up there with dance music’s all-time greats, still boating an uncanny knack for picking his moment then releasing a dancefloor-destroyer which will slaughter discerning crowds for many months rather than just flash in the pan. ‘Dbiza’ first hit in 2006 with its ‘dum dum’ vocal hooks and has lingered ever since at the place which inspired its name and all over the world. Now it appears on the label which recently struck with Sollee’s ‘Timba’ with two dynamite new mixes. First up is the afore-mentioned Solee, charging up block chords with springy bass undertow and snares recalling Plastikman’s seismic ‘Do Da Doo’. Norman Zube then goes deep and whispery-minimal with hippopotamus stomach rumbles and haunted synth. Tall order tackling this man but this pair have come up trumps.
