Following their previous collaboration on Studiotek, Roach and Vronski are teaming up again for more quality Tech House. With its acid b-line, TR 808 clave, snappy percs and quirky synths, “Wake Up” is going straight back to the origins of House. Close your eyes and you’ll picture a dark messy warehouse with your blood pulsating faster than the strobelight. At 125 BPM, this ain’t exactly what you’d describe as banging within today’s standards, still its effect on the dancefloor can be as powerful as all the excessive “crash-bang-gallop” heavy metal dance of now. Nice and twisted, “Disclaimer” on the flip is of the same ilk but also adds jazzy Detroit pads to the equation.
