Ali and Sharam have forgiven and forgotten and return to the fray with ‘Quincy’ their first joint release in … ooh god knows how long. With ‘Essential New Tune’ status already under its belt, it’s off to a flying start: imagine French Kiss slowed down then add some plucked and strummed ukelele, layer it with a robot vocodered vocal and arpeggiating synths and roll it all up in swathes of hissing white noise and that’s how they’re back. Nno pop vocal, no fireworks, just straight up, no frills, tech house. Solid but also strangely underwhelming.
