If House music is a spiritual experience then play on. Moodymanc’s gospel inspired interpretation of the format opens by teasing you with relatively restrained preacher’s vocals telling you just how it is as simmering tension builds beneath via infectious, funky loops and splashing hi-hats. There’s something almost nostalgic going on here but if it was good then, it’s still good now! The Ashley Beedle Revision version then reworks the elements adding a different dynamic to the drums and filters over the course of some eight and half minutes. This is obviously a timeless formula, which is of course exactly why it’s on RebelLION.
