Dusky – Calling Me/Muriel/What I Do – School

Another fine reason to round of the year in style comes from the inspired Dusky who also provide the debut release for this brand new imprint. Take, ‘Calling Me’ for starters with its huge, funky Techno bass riff and shuffling percussion which sounds simply irresistible the louder you play it. Add to that mysterious vocals alongside its prime-time arrangement and there’s little doubt that this is first rate material. The even more furious, ‘Muriel’ follows with unforgiving, though extremely exciting, rhythms which cleverly combine House with the aforementioned. ‘What I Do’ then finishes off with further Tech flavours added to the deep bass and syncopated pulses which eventually reward you with a life-affirming set of chords.
