With a huge amount of hype around Petre Inspirescu and his Romanian
countrymen Rhadoo and Raresh, it’s unsurprising to see them turn up on
Luciano’s impeccable Cadenza label. Kicking off with the subtle, undulating
rhythm of ‘Mostra’ and vocal mahem of ‘Rackadoom’, this EP starts off as
typical (excellent) Cadenza fare but the second 12” really steals the
proverbial bourbon. ‘La Crème Bonjour’ is a chirpy, percussive journey with
a bouncing bassline and some great woodwind (yep, but trust me!) sections
and it’s flipside, ‘Galantar’, is just synth brass insanity. Wonderful
stuff.
