Despite what seems like an unassuming start this captivating production from Frank & Tony quickly proves itself to be something rather special. Francis Harris and Anthony Collins collective fourth release for their label sees captivating, melancholy vocals feel soulful against a backdrop of deep beats, bass and occasional ambience alongside atmospheric trumpet on, ‘Holding On’. A dub follows sounding almost as powerful, with second track, ‘Orchid Trait’ exploring further ambience with breathy voices and piano chords. Again a dub version follows although this time there is more going on without the vocal to centre your attention. But either way these tracks are stunning pieces of hypnotic music.
