Australian breaks linchpin Andrew Kornweibel drops an essential offering built around a sampled from soul legend Randy Crawford. Highly original, I suspect if this were to be re-recorded this Fat! could end up with another ‘2 People’, a track that put Jean Jacques Smoothie on the map a few years ago thanks to Minnie Riperton and could do the same for the southwest London label. The mixture of contemporary breaks, with soulful crooning and delicate piano tinkering makes for a wonderful marriage (although it might not sound like it on paper).
