This decade has seen the Tuscany duo gain a fearsome reputation among both crowds and heavy hitters like Deep Dish and Satoshi Tomiie for their DJ sets and productions, most recently on the four Hell Yeah singles [which are very considerately on the CD of this latest single]. The sound could be termed prog on account of the clarion synth rifFs but, to these two, the grove is all. There are few drops, not really building layers, just chunky, leg-propelling grooves which may be given further motivation by the odd squirt of acid, crashing noise or minimal touches. It’s not hard to se how they cause such havoc.
