Guillaume and The Coutu Dumonts makes his Freerange debut with ‘Revolution in the Cycles’ EP – an intricately looped triple header that will snag you in its silky web. ‘You Lost It’s disco funk with a tech house twist makes it the immediate choice for terrace play in the sunshine 🙂 seems perfectly logical to me. ‘Doughnut Jam’ is strictly techno with hi-tek jazz keys running through its blood and a funk bass line arcing the trajectory just for good measure. Finally ‘Sutra’ is purely sexual, its wonky, plucked groove, wobbly synths, surging off kilter drums and choral / bluesy vocals take this to church. Pushing boundaries and pushing all the right buttons.
