There are two enormous hits coming on Axtone and this is the other one. Hardrock Sofa and Skidka’s ‘Arms Around Me’ is a soaring, pounding chimera that blends progressive beats, trance synths, french touch filters and loops, choral vocals, swedish bad assed beats, dutch energy and an risk of all risks an old skool, live band, big brass led US funk breakdown and all works fantastically. It’s a joy to play a record that has the balls to be different in a world where everything in this genre is starting to sound exactly the same.
