It’s great the way that the latest DFA warhead has hit home and struck a chord which has thrown up another disco revolution which veers away from the cliches and into the genuine soul of the underground which threw it out in the first place and continued through into the 90s with New York’s sublime strain of deep house. This also means irreverence, hedonism and emotion translated into glorious, heart-hoisting love songs. The second single from the album features Nomi on heavenly vocals with Antony on backup. It’s lush, lovely and soaring with classic early 90s riffs and subtly-pulsing groove which also recalls classic Inner City. This could explain why Kevin Sanderson has done the remix but unfortunately I can’t report on that yet because I haven’t heard it. They’re obviously here to stay though.
