After a thoroughly enjoyable set at Bestival, Hot Chip keep the party going by unleashing a damn fine remix 12″. Switch is up first with two versions of “Hold On”, turning it into a massive rave anthem, complete with a techno kick, Rhubarb & Custard synths and samples of crowd cheering. Mock ‘N’ Toof also have a go at “Hold On”, delivering a nice slice of deep & groovy house. Meanwhile Scotland’s mainman Ewan Pearson reconstructs “Touch Too Much” with well polished electronics and radio friendly know how, resulting in a certain David Bowie style. Kollektiv Turmstrasse wind up proceedings, stripping back “Touch Too Much” and placing it in a deep & moody orchestra pit. All in all a slab of vinyl worth cherishing.
