What’s really attention grabbing though is Radio Slave’s remix. At 11 minutes plus it’s not one we can squeeze into our own edit heavy sets that often, but nevertheless it’s a truly special piece of dancefloor fodder deserving of your attention. Radio Slave’s genius lies in two realms – crafting elongated trippy grooves and when doffing his cap to or re-interpreting a classic. Think the reverberating genius of ‘Bell Clap Dance’, or the way he turned Herbie Hancock’s timeless ‘Nobu’ into an intricate slab of jazz infused minimal techno. This track combines the two, taking the early sex vibe of the original into slower, darker territory with a sinister synth which is proper intimidating in a really good way. DJ Hell and Felix Da Housecat are big fans apparently, and Dixon smashed Sonar with it. Fuck that though we’re saying it’s really good!
