Recalling Gene Hunt’s initial Chicago heyday from the 1980’s this two track release for Record Store Day comes steeped in timely history, not least because the cover art features a rare photo including the cities Frankie Knuckles. But back to the music which plays out like the real deal as the opening,’ Drive Yourself Nuts’ testifies with blazing Acid lines and drum machine pulses all fuelling the House Music fire. ‘Wildside D Dubb’ then expands the Acid frenzy across nine plus minutes while still acting like the catalyst for 2015 carving wild abandon out of the uncompromising frenzy of hot-wired electronics.
