Not yet set for a release but starting to circulate is this new outing from Update vet and former Aloofer Dean Thatcher and David Stone. Dean’s been there since acid house, propagating the endless party while showing respect and knowledge with projects like the regular Set The Tone vintage reggae nights. This tune is destined for great things and many rafter-hanging moments with its percolating old bongo groove, 80s Chicago bassline, twisting riffs and powerful vocals from Gayla, who’s all alone in her Motorhome. There’s a marvellous, tear-and-hug-prodding midsection with heavenly strings too. Keep an eye open for the name and an ear for a classic slice of soulful house heaven. This has been a public service announcement from my shaking bottom.
