Original 90s House Gangster, Ivan Iaccobucci, delivers a three track (4 on Digital) ep for Holic Trax sub series Monoklo 1 and its really rather special. ‘Router’ is an insistent percussive groove that sucks you in like a TV channel poltergeist. ‘Anorak’ is a chugging, jacking click track whilst ‘De Mai Sus’ is all over the pin tack explosion cymbals and rides. Finally the digital only treat ‘Stakhanovite’ is a fat, pounding groove with a broken beat attitude that could give you whiplash if you practised your air drumming hard enough. It’s an assured deep tech house release of ‘join the dots’ mix tools that have funk for days.
