Acid House is very much the sound of the summer (once again) and it’s great to hear that while the music retains its place in time James Barnsley’s opening track,’Dinadon’ edges it into the future via a production which could only have occurred in 2015. Its combination of unsettling synth lines, uneasy voices and caustic Acid tinges creates a tense atmosphere that unfolds with each repeated play. Daze Maxim supply the remix which reworks it all via clipped drums and a provocative arrangement of electric sounds. Leaving ‘Colorado’ and a co-production with Scan Mode to finish on gritty keys, contrasted neatly by warmer chords, and endless delays spinning out across the vigorous b-line.
