It seems to me like disco filtered techno is becoming quite the thing – and Jay Lumen admirably demonstrates just how lush this combination can be with his ‘Sunbeam’ EP on Noir Music. ‘Sunbeam’ itself is a bottle-hit and clave and weird, wonky, and wibbly wobbly synth drop affair that just, well, works. ‘The Line’ is a fully armed, stormtrooper march through dark techno territory with Darth Vader at the vocal helm and the battle in full flow. Enjoy dodging the flying aural missiles and subterranean landmines. It’s a banger.
