John Dahlback Ft. Melanie Fontana- Fireflies – (Protocol)

John Dahlback’s style has become very much a part of the progressive / electro / dubstep / EDM sound, plus he’s always had a knack for quirky songs that lyrically touch a raw emotional nerve and ‘Fireflies’ is a perfect example of both. The lyrics compare people to fireflies – only shining at night – ‘we are nothing till the dark becomes our morning light’ whilst the sturdy, relentless beat kicks your ass into submission. Simple and effective.
