Juno continues its run of reactivated classics by, maybe unexpectedly, homing in on a 1975 album track by jazz organist Johnny Hammond and giving it to the mighty Faze Action to play with. The original is a bouncy, bongo-propelled keyboard vamp, imbued with funk, texture and magic. Faze Action choose to edit rather than remix, supplying five different variations which heighten the groove, spacey flourishes and cool funky disco vibe which can work on many floors. Marc Mac and his Visioneers band also decided against remixing in favour of covering the track, including the vocals while adding their own effective touches. Makes you want to track down the original on the Gears album.
