Now this came as a huge surprise from Mr Julien ‘Swimming Places’ Jabre. A gritty, textured drone and trip hop / dubstep beats underpin the epic, cinematic sweep of this gorgeous production. Hayley Gene’s vocal pierces and smashes through it all like a diamond axe with a crystal handle would cut through an iceberg. Is it dubstep? Is it trip hop? Is it progressive? Is it pop? Does it even matter? All I care about is that this is three minutes seventeen of pure, hands in the air, lost in the moment, unadulterated heaven. Again. Again. Again.
