So ok ‘Flowers From Your Grave’ feels like you’re lost sometime in the late eighties somewhere in Chicago, or there about. But if you can handle that notion then this plays like a first rate homage to the era with crisp bass and raw-edged drum machines lending this excitable production a reassured authenticity. Besides that, it’s kick-ass. ‘Lets Stay Together’ then reworks more soulful sounds by twisting them around shuffling percussion repeating until distraction. Next, ‘Night Walking’ gets the atmosphere just right with smoky organ chords eventually clashing with tense stabs and booming kick drums, while the aptly titled ‘Exit’ ends on furious Acid tones completing another fine release from the label.
