It’s been a long time since La Roux set her pipes a trilling on a pop tune and suffice it to say that (unlike her similarly silent Twitter stream) she has been missed. Here Prinz Thomas delivers a laid back, ethereal slow-mo disko affair that starts with a gently strummed guitar and builds vertically with La Roux’s frosty and fresh vocal into a towering monument to crossover hitsville. There’s a bit of sax to sex it up, keeping it all rolling beautifully and keeping it current too. Welcome back La Roux, your abandoned crown (and crowd) awaits.
