South Africans Lazarusman and Jazzuelle have layered a sexy spoken word opus over a stripped down house groove for your listening pleasure. Jazzuelles ‘Darkside Mix’ is beautifullly melodic and colours the original’s minimal sketch with shimmering rides, a depth charged bassline and a kick that would break your shinbone like a stick of celery. Canada’s Fred Everything launches from the Darkside mix increasing the intensity of the individual parts, layering the sound in a hazy, lazy way and creating the sort of hazy aural water image that is created by so much heat and passion. Indispensable. And to close the package his ‘Devil In The Dub’ mix does it all over again but without the vocal. It’s a truly beautiful thing.
