Listening to the original mix of Lena Cullen’s ‘Timeless’ is a like cuddling a persian cat whose been sitting in the sun all day. Warm, fluffy and kind of inscrutable. Old skool garage keys and chords make me nostalgic for Afterlife / early Chez or Naked Music releases. Kry Wolf Dub adds a pulsing, plucked bassline to excite proceedings but Shadow Child pips all to the prize with his clip-clop beats and swirling bassline figure eight shapes around the vocal. Good for beach house and Hed Kandi compilations.
