Little By Little returns to DFTD with a cheeky double header that ratchets the energy up by the kilojoule and kicks up enough main floor, peak time disco dust to start a sandstorm off Tatooine. ‘Kick It Up’ has a stumble and tumble beat that’s excited by a swarming, buzzing synth and ‘kick it up’ and a demented ‘boom-chaka-boom’ looped vocal encouragement. It’s great fun and then some. ‘Somebody’ is a deadly, mid-set bassline groove with clattering, empty biscuit tin open snares and hi-hats, Werther’s smooth organ keys and a relentless ‘somebody’ taunt that will make you wiggle it just a little bit and then wiggle everything a lot more. It gets the people going.
