Not often that I get to use the word sublime these days but this 60th release from the brilliant Culprit and of course from Lorenzo Dada soundly merit the description. The EP’s title track combines a kind of beautiful potency that sees delicately balanced vocals hover across poignant keys amid the expanse of breathy reverberation. Remixes come from firstly from Axel Boman who lends it a darker flavour via brooding electronics, and also from Bambook who again lend the vocal another interpretation with shimmering notation contrasted by edgier pulses. Which leaves the second original ‘Powder’ to conjure up more mystery as a myriad of synthesizers dance across finely tuned beats. The possibilities are, as always, endless.
