Cassius are heading back, and this pumped up single reminds us just how influential they’ve been over the course of ten years. The likes of Justice acknowledge their debt to the boys Zdar and Boombass, and will no doubt swoon over this one. “Youth – Speed -Trouble – Cigarettes” are the words yelled out by a crowd at regular intervals, as a ragged beat and synth sirens keep up with the general mayhem. The funk hits the floor early on, as it does in all the best Cassius records, and from there the boys don’t look back. Good to have them around again – and let’s hope another killer album is on its way. For now though, this will do just fine.
