Paola’s Dream sounds like the labour of love that it was intended to be and plays like a sublime piece of music in anyone’s book. Underpinning the atmospheric combination of soaring Flute, Trumpet blasts and plucked Strings is a seriously heavy-duty rhythm section that isn’t short on punch via extra hits of timbale and clipped snares screaming sunshine is coming. Hanfry Martinez supplies a first-rate remix by tweaking the bass and adding juice to the percussion giving it all a tougher edge. Next, ‘Eating Bamboo’ opens with tropical infused sounds that then burst into a climax of Detroit proportions. Leaving Martin Patino to turn it all upside down care off deeper beats which subsequently explode with accompanying Jazzy piano and happy feelings.
