If you tuned into the release of his debut album from earlier in the year then this latest release for Eskimo sees more of Mees Dierdorp’s composed music engulf you in richly rewarding ambience. Two new tracks here with the title, ‘Aviar Alom’ feeling quaintly European via pulsating, delicate synths notes accompanied swirling chords creating a cinematic landscape that hints at melancholy but none the less feels revitalizing all the same. ‘Las Paranas’ explores a similar mood with sparkling arpeggios offset by tense string-like sounds suggesting a sense of unease that again contains its own reward.
