What starts out sounding like a driving drum attack from the twisted side of the tracks quickly unfolds, on Sueno Soul’s Down & Dirty Mix, into an organ-laced edgy soulful house number. Middle-Eastern riffs burble away in the background until the breakdown when the track suddenly (and rather unexpectedly) unfurls into a terrific spoken Arabic extravaganza. The in-form Sueno Soul (who recently made ripples with ‘My Getaway’) steer this dark, and at times twisted number, on the mystical path.
