Next up on the Love Harder label are two charismatic Munich producers Alex Mallios and Leo Kane aka MidKnightz. Having first hooked up when DJing they try and bring that passion to their production and on the evidence of the two tracks they serve up here they have been more than successful. The EP comes with remixes by Namito and Guardate. Up first is Found My Home, a prickly, vibey house cut with rude boy drums and lots of dark, groaning synths. In the foreground are well-treated and effected vocals that add a human touch to the otherwise robotic beats. The remix is a more melodic but just as stiff and tough tech house work out with more nimble base notes and plenty of occult charm. Next up is MidKnightz’s other original, Falling Down, which has loose and playful drums that skip and drop in and out in a truly funky fashion as some loopy synth lines and various playful vocals roll up top. The Guardate remix then layers in some screw face base, reversed stabs and flips the track into a super filthy club jam with tons of liveability.
