Even now Mike Monday is an underrated producer of some of the finest quality house the UK has to offer, so it ought not to be a surprise that ‘Move Your Body’ is straight out of the top drawer. Several things qualify it for ‘anthem’ status, whether it’s the stabbing synths, the snatches of helium-powered vocal, the 80s claps or the sudden, broad breakdowns. Whichever way you look at it Monday’s got it hooked – and it’s down to Tim Sheridan to cater for the deeper end of the market with a mix that builds gradually over a brooding texture, then dropping a seriously low bass that will get the floor vibrating. Essential music for house heads.
