One of two new stunning releases from the label, ‘Don’t’ takes the word Jazz and twists it out of all proportion, or at least something like that. The master-class of players involved set up a tough groove full of smokin’ horns with pounding tribal beats to match, feeling like the perfect combination of old and new sounds, leaving the knockout sassy vocals to do the rest on this excellent Carlos Mena remix. It doesn’t really matter if you go for the moodier Dub or his full song version because either way House music of this strength doesn’t seem to be around so much these days.
