Word is that Jeudi have wanted to get Monte back on the label since his release with them back in 2012. That tune True was a massive hit for the label and artist at the time, and now he comes correct once more with four far ranging cuts of moody house and tech. Across four cuts here Monte offers up two great original for the club but also two totally flipped remixes that offer completely different takes. The first is Bubblegum, a rolling tech hose tune with nicely crafted synths full of emotion and lots of late night vibes that will sound great in the club. The Theme version, though, is a dramatic, angels style and epic bit of synth work that sounds like the theme music to some massive film. Then comes Push, another club focussed track with rubbery beats, infectious perc and fine synths, but again the Theme version might just steal its thunder. Its full of elastic 80s chords, retro sounding gear and texturised analogue lines that all make you want to dance like it was 1989! Overall a killer EP.
