Nacho Marco – Outside Tunnels – Madhouse

When you think Kerri Chandler, you think of one thing – H.O.U.S.E. The vast majority of the time that feeling is reflected in the grooves he puts out on his Madhouse imprint, and that is never truer than here on this double header from Spaniard Nacho Monreal, not least the lead track ‘Outside’.

It’s a classic sound form the off, a chugging groove which slowly builds into a soaring piano led monster with bags of swing. The sort of jam that brings you out of the dark into the light with effortless ease, this will sound good on any dancefloor, boat or beach in 2016. On the flip ‘Tunnels’ sees a more melodic and deep route taken via softer keys, but shuffling hi hats and stabs of sax add a swagger and energy that makes it quite useful in a few different circumstances. Top notch.
