The third release from Manchester based Madhatter White sees Neil Parkes deliver two equally pounding productions. Firstly the title track, ‘Fearless’ combines two vocal phrases set against throbbing bass and insistent 909 hi-hats adding extra fizz across an uncomplicated arrangement that duly ignites on the introduction of vibrant stabs. Two equally good remixes follow from Mark Holmes who transforms the potential by re-imagining the melodic possibilities with a fresh set of keys alongside a bouncier groove, and from Deepmode who play with a masterly Detroit styled Techno bassline and deeper atmospheres. Second track, ‘Skytop’ picks up the tone with more energetic percussion and an extra array of vocal edits while restrained Organ chords plus pulsating sub-bass add mood to the texture.
