Noir returns to his own label with a ‘Raw Club Cut’ which with its throbbing, late night chug and sharp, searching vocal shines a searchlight on the darkest corners in your emotional closets and sweeps them clean. The Johannes Brecht remix is a plaintive vocal affair with sand box percussion, sombre emotive keys and a nervous tension that holds it suspended in time. The uptempo Long Gone Dub gets my vote with its cut up vocals, squashy synths and relentless techno torque. It’s all about the ebb and flow.
