DJ-Producer and Open Bar label boss Oscar P teams up with Robert Owens on the innovative deep house offering “Thank You.” The collaboration goes much deeper when you scratch surface as both, legendary US vocalist Robert Owens, and Oscar P haven’t had the easiest lives in their childhood and both have achieved great success with their music working hard on what they do. So I guess “Thank You” is a bit of a message to what could have happened, if they didn’t do what they do and that’s really good and a nice way to think about those who couldn’t afford to do the same.
The track itself is a serious deep banger that features one of the best Owens vocals I’ve heard for some time. Emotional, uplifting and with a straight message it flows perfectly with Oscar P’s strong drum programming, heavy bass and superb synth workout. For me personally the ‘Oscar P NY to Detroit Dub’ is the best of the mixes as it is no classic Dub at itself, because it still features a lot of the vocal but has a slightly dubbier feel to it generally. To round things off beside the Main Mix there is also a nice revamp from Luke Anderson that should be checked out as well.
