Ever since the Portuguese wonder-boy created the now classic ‘Dreamwalker’ the anticipation of what would follow has made the wait bearable; his latest features a brace deep house delights to bask in. ‘Takedown’, a beautifully crafted slice of deep house, is driven by a deliciously melodic rhythm and crisp beats; ‘A Bomb Inside My Heart’ another multi-layered hypnotically lush affair. Rocha once more skilfully creating a common ground between house and its ‘70s forebear, with strings, vibes and keyboards adding to the overall atmosphere.
