Back during the second Summer of Love in muddy fields up and down the British countryside ravers revelled to the sounds of Adamski, the Shamen, Beloved and 808 State. Classics that defined an era, and in the case of 808 State, helped put Madchester firmly on the musical map. Pacific was born out of the acid house scene and was the first of a handful of top ten hits for the group who were arguably one of the most important British electronica bands of the time laying the groundwork for the ‘90s electronic revolution. Now remade for a new generation as Pacific 202 the track again pushes the boundaries for synth-dance with the haunting chords, melodic sequenced acid riffs and bird sounds retained by a trio of Italian remixers.
