The man called Phatzoo debuts with a peak-time belter on a new Swedish label and pushes all the right buttons. The title track throws in acid house elements such as the electrolysed lead riff and crashing percussion, adding cheeky organ motif and 90s stabs, which are then put through a roller-coaster of builds and drops with floor eruption in mind. ‘Big Bash’ takes a more electro twist with spikey riffs and rising stiffie in the groove region. Good start.
