In it’s original format, this is a pleasant take on the classic “Spirit Of Love” song by Kyoto Jazz Massive’s bass player Kenichi Ikeda, which will appeal to more open-minded soul fans easily enough. However, for the clubs, the action is definitely on Phil Asher’s epic Restless Soul Boogie mix, taking in nearly 13 minutes of garage inspired boogie, taking the time to break each of the various key elements down and reconstruct them into a magnificent jam, all the elements of a future classic. It really allows Vanessa Freeman’s vocal and Mike Patto’s keyboards to fly. Make the time to play all of it, it’s worth it.
